DAMAGED BEAUTY: JOEY SUPERSTAR is a powerful story that delves deep into the untold struggles faced by women. It not only captivates readers but also provides thought-provoking insights.
More than just fiction, this novel sheds light on issues that often remain in the shadows. With her unique perspective and exceptional storytelling ability, Gardiner addresses these themes in a way that is both compelling and impactful.
“This is a story that needed to be told, and I am thrilled to share it with South African readers – in a country that I deeply love,” she shares. “It’s about how we overcome the challenges that shape us and how we find inner strength amidst our deepest struggles.”
Following its earlier release in the U.S. and U.K. this year, the English version has already made waves and received five-star reviews.
The Afrikaans edition is published by Naledi, and both the Afrikaans and English versions are distributed by Naledi in South Africa.
Margaret first rose to fame as the first South African to be crowned Miss Universe, and this year marks the 47th anniversary of this historic milestone.
As a respected journalist and former Miss Universe, Gardiner has spent years advocating for women’s rights and social justice, making her new book a natural extension of her life’s work.
She currently resides in Los Angeles, USA, where she frequently attends award ceremonies and other high-profile events.
